Sound Generations’ Inspire Positive Aging Awards (IPAA) Nominations Are Open

As Sound Generations embraces the new year, they are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 21st annual Inspire Positive Aging Awards (IPAA). These awards celebrate older adults who inspire others to rethink aging and to imagine what is possible in their own journey.

This year’s theme highlights how older adults flourish in new chapters of life. Like the lotus, their wisdom and lived experiences have formed deep roots. Sound Generations is proud to provide space for those roots to rise and bloom. By nominating an older adult for an IPAA, you help ensure their contributions are seen, honored, and celebrated. Nominations are open to Western Washington residents aged 60 and over. People of all ages are encouraged to submit a nomination.

Sound Generations invites you to challenge common misconceptions associated with aging by nominating someone who has inspired you through their impact, service, or lived experience in Advocacy & Activism, Community Service, Defining Inspiration, Health & Wellness, Intergenerational Impact, and Lifelong Learning. Award recipients receive public recognition and prizes that include a $200 Visa gift card, and the individual who nominates one of the award recipients will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Help Sound Generations honor the beauty of lives that have blossomed over time. Nominations will be open through March 12, 2026. Get your nomination started today at
